Want to make a ‘Bee’s Knees’ cocktail?
The perfect drink for the Easter bank holiday! A classic Prohibition-era cocktail made with gin, lemon, and honey. The perfect spring tipple, just delightful!
100% Gluten-free, can be made as a vegan cocktail also.
For a vegan bee’s knees cocktail you can use a vegan honey alternative or Agave.
Ingredients
2 tsp honey or alternative for the vegan option.
50ml Crystal London dry gin (also nice with our Crystal Gold which is Saffron infused).
25ml lemon juice
Ice
lemon zest strip, to serve
Method
Scoop the honey into a small container or cup and add 1 tsp freshly boiled water. Stir well until the honey and water are smooth.
Pour the honey mixture into a cocktail shaker, with the gin, lemon juice, and ice. Shake well until the shaker feels cold.
Strain into a cocktail glass, a coupe is normally used. Then garnish with a curled strip of lemon zest, you can do this by wrapping it tightly around a spoon handle.
